'Double Reduction' Training Session
In order to thoroughly implement the core requirements of the 'Double Reduction' policy and effectively implement the goal of reducing burden while increasing efficiency in classroom teaching, on March 6th, 2026, the mathematics group of the Junior High School Department of the east campus held a special training session titled 'Implementing the Double Reduction Policy and Enhancing Efficiency'. All junior high school mathematics teachers participated in this teaching research activity and jointly explored the optimized path for mathematics teaching under the new curriculum standards.
To be concrete, at the beginning of the training, teacher Wu Xiang, Head of the mathematics group's teaching research, based on the actual situation of junior high school mathematics teaching, delved deeply into the three core issues of 'classroom transformation', 'homework design', and 'student situation analysis' under the background of 'double reduction', pointing out that mathematics has strong logic and wide application. Thus, it is necessary to completely abandon the 'massive question-solving tactics' and build a 'precise and efficient' classroom mode in that in teaching design, it focused on the examination proposition patterns and highlightd the cultivation of core competencies, breaking down complex knowledge points into gradient learning tasks; Meanwhile, in homework assignment, it implementd 'layered design and flexible selection', taking into account the needs of different levels of students, reducing repetitive and mechanical homework, and increasing exploratory and practical mathematics tasks; Also, in student situation analysis, it strengthened process evaluation, accurately grasping students' weak knowledge points, and achieving targeted teaching.
In addition, subsequently, the mathematics teachers conducted a lively discussion based on their daily teaching scenarios. Focusing on aspects such as exam question analysis and classroom practical operations, they shared their practical experiences in simplifying homework, optimizing classroom feedback, and providing remedial and enrichment services. More remarkably, through the exchange of ideas, teachers developed many feasible and promotable teaching strategies.
On the whole, this training has set a clear direction for our school's junior high school mathematics teaching. In the next step, all mathematics teachers will incorporate the 'improving quality and enhancing efficiency' concept into every class. While simplifying the teaching process and refining the homework design, they will intensify their research and development efforts, remain steadfast in their work, and use high-quality teaching to help students improve their core literacy. Hereby, let the 'double reduction' policy take root and bear fruit in the mathematics classroom.
